[< Christmas music should be BANNED....until November 12 > ]

So, Novemberance Day is almost upon us... but it only took ONE DAY after Halloween for all the Christmas Commercials and Jingles, and Decorations, and Christmas Lights to go up. WOW.
I mean, i'm all FOR the season. No one loves a good Bing Crosby Tune more than me, in fact, i have him singing Deck the Halls for one of my ring tones (which i won't put on my phone yet). But shouldn't we give the veterans SOME kind of respect? C'mon! It's only 11 more days out of the year before we focus on the mass commercial holiday that is the birth of Someone's Lord and Savious, Jesus H. Christ.
I think, if i was a veteran, and God willing i never will be, i would be a little pissed off by the fact that they only get one day a year... ONE DAY.... and it's glossed over by the super high powered in your face selling power of Sears Christmas Catalogues, and Toys R US commercials sporting children buttering up their parents as long as they get the newest toy... (Which will be a rant for a different day)
You'd think that this would make it harder for the army to recruit people. COME and JOIN the ranks of Various States of Canadian Armed Forces. You'll get college paid for, and we have submarines that may spontaneoulsy burst into flame, and Hey - should you be called to battle and watch all your commrades die, and SURVIVE - - you'll get your own holiday to march in a parade and wear a poppy, but only if you can tear the mass public away from Christmas for a little while. GOOD LUCK!
Come on.
I think there should be nothing Christmas Related until November 12.
That's when MY christmas tree is going up, and when i start listening to my Christmas music. But not until after the Vets get their day.
