One thing that i've noticed about myself these days is this:
when i actually get to sit down and take an entire hour for my lunch, i am a much happier camper. Huzzah.
This new schedual i've worked out is fantastic! Seeing as my job is ever changing... i'm now managing 2 full time peons in my department. Making 3 full time copy girls... with me as their Lord and Master. The hubby is in the WONDERFUL habit of driving me to work in the morning so i don't have to take the bus. I love this. Hurray. But he starts work at 7 so he drops me off at 6:45 and MY work doesn't start until 8 so often times i would work that extra hour over time. in theory, this is fine, but i've been working 17-20 hours overtime in a pay period, which means i'm being taxed more, and basically working for free. boo.
SO.
Over the course of the year that Marna has worked for me, i have discovered that a morning person, she's not.
Thus - i devised the most brilliant plan:
Laura - works from 7 - 4 and has lunch at noon
Sparky the New Girl - works from 8-5 and has lunch at 1
and Marna gets to sleep in, which makes everyone happy - and works from 9-6 with an hour for lunch at 2.
This means that all 3 of us will only work 8 hours and we'll always have an hour for lunch.
I am such a happier person now. Yippee Skippee.
PLUS - an added bonus that the hubby works until 3:30 so he picks me up at 4:00....which means......
NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION EVER!!
